It's an optional field that is used for reporting purposes... for example, to calculate gross margin/profit for each product sale etc. Cheers 

I am attempting to set up a kit in the product editor that is comprised of one or several items.  Each one of the possible selections has a customization variant attached to it (ie. some text to be printed on the the item).  The problem I keep getting is that when more than one item has a ''required'' customization variant ONLY the first ...

Products appear in the Sale Item snap-in when they have a product level pricing discount applied to them. Directions: Open the product in the 'product editor' screen Select the pricing tab Choose the 'sale type' or 'date Range' check boxes Fill in the pricing matrix underneath... the sale price etc. Cheers
