Hi guess,

My product line mainly consist of shirts. My question is about setting up their sizes. I can not figure how I would add a drop down feature containing a list for my buyers can choose from Small to 2XL.

All you would have to do is add variants to your products.

Here is a knowledge base article on setting up variants.

Then once you get one setup you could export and import for your other products:

The variant options are very weak for Americommerce. Is there anyway to save a variant group for applying to specific products quickly instead of having to either add each variant option individually or using spreadsheet which is very cumbersome too.

For example, each of my product have 5 to 6 variant groups and each group has like 60 colors and 25 sizes So to do that even in a spreadsheet is very time consuming.

Is there a way to save a variant group along with the options so we can use it to apply to products?

Please advise.

I think this is a rare case. have you tried to open up a support ticket on this already?

This is not currently possible with AC.  Global Variants is something we've been wanting for quite some time.

...Possibly for the majority of AC customers, but NOT in the world of ecommerce.  This is one area where AC truly fails to live up to the competition.  Saving time is a positve when adding products using multiple variants shared across many products.  Who doesn't want that?

AC is seemingly geared towards stores selling items with very limited configurations.  We have experienced many performance issues with products using 3-4 variant groups and 10+ options in each group.
