I am adding new product and want to use bulk upload option.

Added several items manually, exported the cateorgy containing subcategories and products. Made some changes and additions.

Now want to upload file and want to make sure that I do not wipe out complete file of products and only end up with the products in the new uploaded file.
I am renaming file I exported so that the new upload file has s different name. Will upload, mapping same as original, verify data and finish.

if you just upload 5 items, it will not erase al existing items, it will only append. It is actually more difficult than you think to wipe out all of your products via an import, everything you said you did sounds just fine. Good Luck and enjoy Americommerce!
