How do we hide the SKU number field from the customer receipt? 

 It is hidden on the checkout page, but we also need to hide it on the receipt page.

I haven't tried this, but it should work:

1/ Under the 'themes' menu in admin select the required store

2/ Choose the 'receipt' page from the left column

3/ Click on the heading "Colors, Fonts, Layout "

4/ Click on the sub-heading "Order Details Item Nr"

5/ Check "overide default"

6/ Select "Display: NO" 

7/ Select 'save' at the top-right of the page.
