    Category Page Layout

    Hello,

How do you edit the layout of the Category pages. I have it so 3 products are displayed horizontally, but the title and short description is to the rigth of the image now and I want it to just show the image, then below that the  Title, List Price, Our Price, Buy Now. Is there a way I can edit this layout?

You can control these settings under Themes > Category (under Catalog Pages, left hand side menu).

Under Colors, Fonts and Layout there is a section for Product Thumbnail Area and Product Text area - you can define heights there and that should give you more control.

Below is a snapshot of some settings we've used and the end result can be seen at: http://www.omvillage.com/reiki-art.htm

    Hope this helps!

Yes, that helped out a lot. One more quick question. Can you truncate the amount of characters shown? It would probalbly go in the custom field? Truncate:100 or something

I don't know of Truncate: as a css property.

You can try some settings by controlling the width and height settings of the product text area and product name with the custom field there as: overflow:hidden; to hide anything beyond the set number in the width. The width and height setting would be a 'px / %' setting over pure characters so you may need to try out a few different options. This is really a clunky work around and there may be a css property that I can't recall at this time.

    Cheers,
