    eBay Integration

I have multiple ebay stores and would like to see the Americommerce product integrated with ebay to allow me to manage all of my auctions and store listings.

I currently only have a small amount of products listed with ebay because of the difficulty managing both my ecommerce site and ebay stores.

I know this is a planned feature, but would like to see planned dates for rollout.

    Re: eBay Integration

There has been a lot of groundwork put in place with the Ebay API for direct integration, however it has been put on hold for the time being.

OK you are up to 5.0 now and I still don't see eBay Integration - this is very important to our company as well.  And i'm sure if you got this rolled in you could use as a HUGE selling point to gain more clients.

    Re: eBay Integration

Any new status on this?  As less pricey applications already offer it in some form.  Does AC have a time frame they expect for this to be resolved and useable as it is a critical element for most etailers like us at this point.

    Re: eBay Integration

Currently other initiatives have been gaining in popularity, like the new set it and forget it feeds that are about to be announced that typically garner double and triple digit increases in sales for almost every customer doing them.  Ebay integration is still about 70% complete but will not have deep integration like some ebay specific platforms.  Our software is deeper in every other area than all of our competition, especially those targeted towards ebay integration and management of the auctions and such which typically have a very limited estore model and very few pricing, shipping, discounting, content management and other features.  This will be making the release list in the coming days, but until then we do have an API that can easily be used by any 3rd party to quickly sync items between ebay and americommerce for your particular installation.  We are one of the few carts that have a fully functional web service API / SDK that can be used for this type of integration by anyone.  Let me know if you would like any recommended 3rd party devs to integrate with anyone interested.  Possibly the people interested could share in the costs even.

Yes please list the 3rd party devs that you would recommend for everyone here... i'm sure there are more than just the 2 of us who would like to integrate Ebay with our online stores!  Thanks!

    Re: eBay Integration

I have a few that could possibly do the work, would you like to start the quoting process with them?  Email me personally if so ed at americommerce dot com.  Once a spec has been made, it can be offered up for devshare to the community something I can assist with.  This usually only works if everyone agrees on what it should do and how deeply it should interact with ebay.  I'm sure concensus can be met.  We can help them with the specs and get started whenever a customer is ready, usually it takes 1 customer to kick it off and pay for a somewhat larger portion of the dev than the others, and the others all pitch in and chip away at it.

    Re: eBay Integration

I would be interested in this if it will work with ebay and other applications such as Amazon.

    Re: eBay Integration

The custom dev effort would only be for eBay in this case, the new offering we are about to announce covers 2 different Amazon offerings and feeds automatically in our standard set it and forget it fashion.
