Brandon:I have some products right now in a category and I want to mave them into a subcategory of that category so they won't be displayed with my other products. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks a bunch
You can do this in several ways. First create the subcategory. Then...
- Under Catalog > Product Mass Editor - Select any of the options in the area 'Visible Columns' that would help you identify the products (example item name, item number) and category - filter results by category/manufacturer. When the list of products is populated - double click under category and you should be able to choose any other category/subcategory you have created. After changing them out - be sure to hit save.
OR
- If you have a large number of products - you can export the data thru Global Settings > Data Export tools; edit the category column with the changed category and Import it back in.
